As a follow-up note to my blog entry, Business Insight from Slime and Lemonade Stands, Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a law on Monday June 10, 2019, making it legal for minors to run lemonade stands without a permit starting September 1, 2019. It gives kids the right to sell non-alcoholic beverages on private property without worrying about authorities, including the public health department, to regulate the sale of the drinks.
In signing the law, the governor raised a glass of lemonade and said, “So kids, cheers!” Now that’s a common sense law.
